Description
I've been trying to decide whether to post this for a while. It's not really the level of work I normally want my stuff to be before I post it, but I wanted to share (after hearing someone having paid 60 bucks for a slim wallet).
A couple years ago I got tired of hauling around a wallet AND a bus pass sleeve (I buy monthly passes for the transit system in town, saves money). the thick wallet was annoying and I think it added to my back issues. Finding a wallet that had a fold out ID section suitable for a 2 part bus was difficult as well, So, I ended up sitting down and making this.
I used one of the bus pass sleeves they give out for free as the clear plastic insert and simply wrapped it with leather. The stitching and lines are a bit rough, but I plan on re-making it and putting a bit more effort into it.
The plastic insert cracked over the frigid winter so I had to replace it, but it wasn't difficult to do (remove the stitching and sew a new one in.
